[efoods]U.S. immigration officials say a Los Angeles doctor faked medical exams for immigrants seeking U.S. visas.

A statement issued Tuesday by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency alleged that Levon Tebelekian, 72, charged immigrants $150 for medical clearance papers without actually performing exams, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The federal government requires the exams to ensure immigrants aren’t bringing in any diseases.
