A decorated Boston police officer and former Army Ranger remains in a medically-induced coma after being shot in the face during a traffic stop Friday.
The assailant was killed by other responding officers, according to Fox News.
Milwaukee County Sheriff David C. Clarke Jr. said the dead man is not the only one to blame for the attack on Officer John Moynihan. He also pointed the finger at three race-baiting public officials.
Moynihan, 34, an Iraq war veteran who was honored at the White House for his role in assisting a fellow officer after a shootout with the Boston Marathon bombing suspect, remains in critical condition, Fox reported.
The incident is the latest in a series of shootings of police officers — many of them ambush-style — in the months since black teen Michael Brown was shot and killed by a Ferguson, Mo., police officer last year. A grand jury later cleared the officer, Darren Wilson, of any wrongdoing in Brown’s death.
After Moynihan’s shooting, some complained that the assailant’s body remained on the scene for five hours while officers performed their forensics investigation.
Conservative author and columnist Michelle Malkin tweeted:

Clarke replied with his own assessment, naming those he believes are really to blame for the anti-cop violence:
@michellemalkin @TwitchyTeam The War on Police continues unabated. Obama, Holder, de Blasio gave it license.

Many agreed, and replied:
