Police say they discovered a radioactive device in a car on Kings Highway in Fairfield, Conn.

Police shut down Kings Highway after the discovery, according to NBC Connecticut, and the device was examined by both the State Police Bomb Squad and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

So far police have not released details on how the radioactive device ended up in the car.
