On Monday King President Obama met with the future King of England, Prince William. The meeting between a man who rules over a nation by royal fiat and Prince William, prompted a social media deluge of backlash.

@NBCNightlyNews Oh my, Royality can talk with the President but not me as I am a commoner and a mere peon. I am so humbled "your majesty"

William and his wife Kate Middleton also attended a basketball game in New York. Protesters against the non-indictment of police after the death of Eric Garner incorporated the royals into their demonstrations:

Kind of amazing to imagine the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Brooklyn, watching LeBron James in a "I Can't Breathe" shirt.

Reportedly, in between joking about LeBron James’ feet, and chinwagging with JayZ and Beyonce, William discussed the importance of protecting endangered animals with Obama.
Only endangered animals though, because William does like to shoot foxes, wild boar and stag.
He loves animals so much that while on holiday in Kenya in 2003, William crept up on an antelope and drove a metal tipped 7 foot long spear through its body, killing it just for the hell of it.
William is so concerned for the well being of animals that he recently purchased 250 different kinds of birds, pheasants, ducks and partridges, so that he and his younger ginger brother Harry could shoot them to death at Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham Estate.
William is so concerned about the welfare of animals that he regularly participated in the cruel and barbaric Highgrove fox hunts which involve packs of hounds careering after a terrified fox for miles and miles and miles, followed by men on horseback, until the exhausted fox no longer has the energy to run. The dogs then corner the fox and literally tear it to shreds.
William doesn’t take animal welfare quite as far as his Nazi grandfather, Prince Philip, however. The Duke of Edinburgh is a man who while presiding as head of the World Wildlife Foundation in 1961, actively hunted and killed tigers and Rhinos in India and Nepal. On the same trip he also killed a crocodile and six urials – a type of mountain sheep.
A Pathe news clip covered the tiger shoot, disgracefully claiming that “marauding” tigers had to be killed to “keep their numbers within safe boundaries.” A rhino met with the same fate in this clip, (begins at 3.12) after “the queen spotted the creature” and watched as it was shot to death by her accompanying lords.
Here Philip, with the Queen, stood valiantly over the dead body of a tiger he personally slaughtered:
Royals before Philip hunted tigers, rhinos and bears among other endangered species, paving the way for royal conservation of the highest degree.
Obama met with the queen and Philip in 2009. Before the meeting he practiced bowing and brushed up on courtly etiquette, then slavishly bowed before the royals. Philip made a customary xenophobic remark and they all had tea together. Lovely.
