A local teen accepted a ride from a police officer and ended up charged with a felony, according to a recently released Orland Park police report.
The 18-year-old man was walking home from a concert Aug. 6 when an officer spotted him near 82nd Avenue and 151st Street — approximately 12 blocks away from his destination, police said.
After the teen accepted the offer of a ride home, the patrol officer surmised his passenger had been drinking and questioned him about the contents of his knapsack.
