Authorities are in the middle of a massive search for at least 100 illegal immigrants and smugglers armed in north McAllen.

It all happened in in a brushy area off North 10th Street and Sprague Avenue just after 1 p.m. Thursday.

According to initial reports, there were more than 100 illegal immigrants hiding in the brush and smugglers.
