Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Monday called being part of the Bush family “an issue” in terms of a future presidential run, responding to comments his mother has made that another Bush shouldn’t be president.
“It’s an issue for sure,” Bush said at the Long Island Association’s biannual luncheon, according to CNN.
Bush was asked about the comments from his mother, former First Lady Barbara Bush, in which she said she wished her son would not run for president despite his qualifications.
