The United States’ trade deficit rose 7.7 percent in February to $42.3 billion, the Commerce Department said Thursday.
Exports decreased by 1.1 percent that month to $190.4 billion, while imports inched up 0.4 percent to $232.7 billion.
The U.S. trade deficit totaled $81.6 billion for the year’s first two months, compared with an $85.4 billion deficit in the same period of 2013.
