Moments before a pandemic preparedness training workshop was schedule to begin live streaming, the live stream was cancelled. Officials cited copyright issues as the reason for the cancellation.
The workshop, titled “Pandemic Preparedness: a 21st Century National Security Mission” was schedule to begin on Thursday morning at 8 a.m. Breitbart Texas contacted officials with the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) who were hosting the event when the broadcast did not begin at the scheduled time. The contact person responded that the presenter, U.S. Air Force retired Colonel Randall Larsen, announced his presentation could not be live streamed because he was not able obtain a copyright release on the videos contained in his presentation.
Col. Larsen is a senior fellow at the Homeland Security Policy Institute at George Washington University.
