February 4 is celebrated around the globe as World Cancer Day. The United Nations website says this day helps spread awareness and encourages people to be proactive and positive in the fight against cancer.
The fight for women is changing after a new study released Wednesday says the most lethal cancer is now lung cancer, not breast cancer in developed countries.
While the study by the American Cancer Society says 29 percent of new cases are from breast cancer, there are only 15 percent of estimated deaths for females. Estimated deaths from lung cancer are 26 percent among females and an estimate of 13 percent are new cases.
