“When I said no negotiations I meant no negotiations,” Mr Bush said. “We know he’s guilty. Turn him over. There’s no need to discuss innocence or guilt.” That appears here in an old article about Bush’s rejection of one of several Taliban offers to turn OBL over to a court. (See also here.) OBL was wanted on suspicion for several terrorist events but not 9/11. Flash forward. Now we have Obama saying in so many words the same thing as Bush. He’s guilty of “the murder of thousands of innocent men, women and children…Justice has been done.” Like Bush, there is no evidence. Like Bush there’s no need to discuss innocence or guilt in a court or anywhere else. There is an intimate shared connection between Bush’s “we know he’s guilty” and Obama’s execution of OBL followed by his conclusion ”Justice has been done.” Obama’s complete speech is here. I find it sickening.
