A number of detainees at the hand of the government security agencies announced open-ended hunger strike in prison to protest in the central Rusafa Prison for continous illegal detention by the government authorities, despite judicial orders for their release.
[efoods]A number of arrested people in Baghdad said: The strike entered its seventh, and a number of detainees have become worse.” stressing that the total number of detainees on hunger strike amounted to thirty-five prisoners.
The government agencies and elements of the so-called “Sahawat” continue to the detention of very large numbers of detainees who have either been released from the occupation or government after the courts announcements of their innocence.
