I wish I didn’t have to bash government. I wish I didn’t have to complain about the erosion of individual sovereignty. Hell, I wish everything was perfect as intended from the very start, with the creation of the constitution. But alas, here I am basking in my conceptual sorrow. I mean, don’t you think that perhaps government ARE the reason for our problems, not the other way around?

Let’s brush aside the blatant misallocation of resources (because apparently trillion dollar budget deficits don’t matter when you can just print money out of free will, destroying the very economic purchasing power of your own citizens) and supposedly their self-fulfilling prophecies which hope to “fix our problems,” the very problems which remain ever more persistent today, forever growing into a chain of dependence and denial.

They tell you what you eat (Mayor Bloomberg’s attempted ban on SODA), they control how you live down to the very taxes you pay, the education of your children, your alleged safety whether you want it or not, the very policies of the country you live in (as well as overseas), wars in countries that have nothing to do with your well-being, how you run your business and so on and so forth. Yet this isn’t the real problem. The problem is that we no longer have a say over these issues – this is hardly the democracy that it once represented.
