In the words of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the bizarre US-claimed “plot” by an alcoholic used car salesman to attack the Saudi ambassador represented a “dangerous escalation” requiring a world response against Iran. Arch-neo-con John Bolton, from the Death Star American Enterprise Institute, demanded all out war on Iran in response, writing that “the unpleasant reality is that the only alternative to a nuclear Iran is to break Tehran’s program through the targeted use of military force, either by Israel, the United States or both.”
What is one to make of the news today that a major US covert action team has been captured inside Iran in a possible act of sabotage against Iran’s nuclear program (which the IAEA has never found to be in violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty)? Is this not an act of war according to international law by the United States against Iran? The mad rush to war on Iran by the mad warmongers has apparently once again put the US in a position of vulnerability and far afoul of international law.
Anyone wondering why the US is viewed with suspicion and hatred abroad need look no further than this appalling double standard, whereby the US holds the rest of the world to a set of rules that it flouts and more on a daily basis and without blinking an eye.
US warships are reportedly entering the vicinity of Syria, the next step for “regime change” before the Iranian “prize” can be claimed. As Lew Rockwell points out, Libya after its US “liberation” looks a lot like Nazi-occupied Europe before its liberation. Heckuva job, guys. Clearly these people will not stop until the entire world is aflame.
