A senior member of Turkey’s main opposition party that has recently visited Syria says that a “Western game” is underway in the major Arab country, Press TV reports…
“There are some clashes in certain parts of Syria, but they could be considered the result of activity of terror groups,” Guler added.
The lawmaker said the Syrian nation is concerned about a Western scenario that aims to interfere in the country’s internal affairs and to eventually occupy it, as they did with other countries in the Middle East and North Africa. She then vowed that her party will oppose any such scenarios by the West.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March with demonstrations being held both against and in support of President Bashar al-Assad.
