Be sure to keep an eye to the sky this weekend: The peak of the Leonid meteor shower— an annual mid-November treat — will be visible across the night sky late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

With cloud cover expected to increase in Rochester on Friday afternoon and evening, “it will make it a challenge to view the meteor shower,” said Shawn Smith, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Buffalo.
