Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio took time during a recent movie promotion to lecture the world on why US Republican candidates should be dismissed wholesale.
Speaking at “The Revenant” premiere at Roppongi Hills in Tokyo yesterday, DiCaprio stated the US needed to “do its part” in fixing climate change, and that includes voting Democrat.
“We need somebody, certainly in the most powerful country in the world, who believes in modern science, who believes imperical truths,” the actor stated. “We should not have a candidate who doesn’t believe in modern science to be leading our country. Climate change is one of the most concerning issues facing all of humanity and the United States needs to do its part.”
Although he didn’t mention Republicans by name, GOP candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz like many in the party routinely deny the left’s constant climate fears. Meanwhile, Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders make climate change a staple of their agendas.
The Titanic actor was previously criticized after using his 2016 Oscars acceptance speech to promote the climate change agenda, despite his own lavish lifestyle.
“Climate change is real,” he said at the 88th Academy Awards. “It is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat affecting our species. We need to work together and stop procrastinating.”
However, the Catch Me If You Can star’s own travel habits don’t appear to reflect his environmental concerns.

A leak of Sony emails last year revealed the actor traveled six times from Los Angeles to New York in the span of six weeks, carving out a larger carbon footprint than most humans on the planet.
