Police in France say they have killed suspects in Friday’s massacre. Two people were killed, including a woman who reportedly blew herself up, and three people were arrested during a raid in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, according to the French government.
The French military locked down the Paris suburb, according to reports.
The primary target was Abdelhamid Abaaoud, said to be the ring leader. A recent expose portrayed Abaaoud not as a fanatical Islamist, but rather a shiftless drug user disliked by his own family.
It is said phones led police to the Saint-Denis street. If true, this counters the argument made by officials the suspected terrorists used “dark” technology to communicate. After the Paris attacks, the government and its corporate media argued encryption allows terrorists to avoid detection.
