President Obama made his message clear in Kansas City on Wednesday – minimum-wage workers need a raise.
Dozens of local businesses owners, however, disagreed. Small-business owners said raising the minimum wage could put them out of business.
“America deserves a raise, and it’s good for everybody,” Obama told a Kansas City crowd.
Obama said five years since an increase is too long. Congress rejected his proposal to raise the federal minimum to more than $10 an hour.
